Why are rentals for a 3 hour time period, what if I only want it for 2 hours?
We have supplied rentals to literally thousands of parties and events and found that the majority are 3 hours long. Bouncers are very physical and 3 hours of jumping is plenty. As for renting for two hours, understand that our rates are for "up to 3 hours" The rental rate is calculated to allow for delivery, set up and removal. This means driving to your location to set up, physically setting up the unit(s), leaving to go back to the shop or to another job, then returning to your location to pick up the unit(s), physically remove equipment and again return to shop or another job. We have now made 2 round trips. This cost is the same whether you use the equipment for 1 hour, 3 hours or all day. To maintain our business it would not pay to do a job for less than the minimum rental rate.
What if it Rains?
Bad weather is neither your fault or ours. Our policy is to cancel jobs in the event of poor weather. This can be rain, snow or high winds. We are concerned with three things, safety, equipment and your satisfaction. Vinyl structures are slippery when wet. Accidents can happen very easily making our equipment "unsafe" to use when wet. They are also electrical. Chances for a shock are greatly increased with water on or in the units. High winds greatly increase the danger of large inflated "balloons" be blown away or over. Considering kids are inside, we will not take the chance. Our equipment is rented daily, each renter is entitled to a clean, dry unit. This is hard to do when the unit is used in the rain. Cleaning time and costs are expensive. In order to keep rental rates down, extra cleaning and drying have to be avoided. When we cancel a job, there is NO charge to you as long as the unit has not been delivered and set up. We will contact each renter the day of the booking if good weather looks doubtful. You will be given the chance to cancel and all deposits will be refunded. If you decide to chance it and it does indeed rain, we will come to remove the unit early and you will be charged the full rental rate. Some rentals will have a no refund clause, be sure to read your rental agreement if this applies to you. We will gladly try to reschedule your booking depending on availability. We do not book "rain dates".
How and when can payment be made?
Bounc'en Good Times accepts Cash, Checks and Credit Cards (Visa & Master card) All deposits must be received within 5 business days after booking. All final payments must be paid in full before equipment is set up. We will gladly fax invoices to you. When we arrive at your location, you will be presented with an invoice. Kindly pay the delivery person first. We seldom have time to hunt down the "person with the Check" as are schedule is very tight and we can not be late for the next rental. We do not offer terms, if payment is a problem, please notify the person taking the booking so arrangements can be made.
When does my rental get set up?
We generally arrive to set up 20 minutes early. Rental times are actual use times. If your party is scheduled from 1:00 till 4:00 we will arrive at 12:40. Party sized bouncers take 10 minutes to set up. Every thing is ready to use by 1:00. Some equipment takes longer to set up, especially multiple units. For these we can arrive an hour early. It is important to have your site planned as to where you want things. Make sure electrical power is no more than 100 feet away for the set up area. If you have rented a gas generator, the 100 feet does not apply. Make sure there is someone there that knows where things are to go or to give us access to the set up location. We are not responsible for late set ups in the event we are waiting for access. ALSO, we have to find your location. In the event that you are holding your function in a park, camp ground or remote location, you must provide exact directions complete with cell phone numbers if possible. Make sure all gates for access are unlocked and your location is marked. Although it is rare, we sometimes arrive late for a set up. This is caused by equipment problems, traffic tie ups, vehicle problems and other unforeseen problems. We book each and every job with sufficient time for set up and traveling, in the event we are late, your rental time will be extended so your time of use is what you paid for. We do not offer reduced rates for late arrivals. On the other hand, sometimes a unit must be set up early to accommodate our delivery schedule. If this happens, you are not charged for the extra time and the rental time is honored. For example, in order to get to a rental across town and we are close to your location, we could elect to set your unit up an hour or two early, so we can make the other deliveries on time. We will always ask your permission when doing so. So if your party is from 1:00 till 4:00 and we have to set up at 11:00, you still get the unit till 4:00, 5 hours for the original quoted price.
